Privacy policy
This policy covers projohnliu, a private tool used only by the owner of the projohnliu YouTube channel to manage that channel. It is not offered to anyone else.
What it accesses
With the channel owner's permission, given through Google sign-in, the tool uses the YouTube API Services to:
- read the channel's own analytics (views, watch time, traffic sources, retention);
- read and update the channel's own videos: titles, descriptions, tags, captions and thumbnails, and upload new videos as private drafts.
It does not access any other person's account or data.
How data is stored
Sign-in tokens and the reports the tool downloads are stored only on the owner's own computer. Nothing is sent to any server other than Google's, nothing is sold or shared, and no data is used for advertising.
How long data is kept, and deletion
- Analytics reports downloaded from the YouTube Analytics API are deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Sign-in tokens are kept only until access is revoked. Revoking access (see below) makes them stop working, and they are then deleted from the computer.
- The channel's own titles, descriptions and tags are kept as backups before the tool changes them, so a change can be undone.
To have any data deleted, revoke access in Google Account security settings, or send a request through the YouTube channel linked below.

Google and YouTube
The tool uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Access can be revoked at any time from Google Account security settings, after which stored tokens stop working and can be deleted.
